Anne E. Watson-Sorensen, an Idaho watercolor artist, has been painting for over 16 years. Her passion for art began in her youth as she loved to create with whatever materials she could get her hands on. She was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
Anne paints in a sensitive, lyrical style about subject matter that speak of

peace and hope amidst life's struggles. Watercolor’s fluidity, spontaneity, and ability to radiate pure light keeps this artist fascinated and challenged to say more with less.

She has studied under nationally and regionally renowned artists, most notably Katherine Chang Liu, Cheng Khee Chee, Roland Giampaoli, and Carl Goodwin. The birth of her passion for watercolor began years ago…
“From the moment I first laid eyes on watercolor over 25 years ago, I knew I was in love. This medium had a way of stirring my soul that left me breathless, literally. Each time my brush dances across the paper and the pigments glide, collide, and intermingle, the results still send tingles down my spine! Watercolor has a mind of its own, and when I follow its lead, a synergy results that no other medium can duplicate. It's so miraculous! I love the limitless possibilities of this spontaneity. I love how it challenges me to respond. It's literally intoxicating!"
